QuickFox on BeBits?
Anyone know about this firefox variant? This makes at least a 4th BeOS firefox variant: the CVS build, bleeding edge, Zeta and now QuickFox. Where will it end? And more importantly, can the people working on them dedicate some time to cleaning up some of the outstanding bugs? C'mon, I bet Mr. X is reading this... :)

The project sounds 'insane' though (in a cool way).

that's strange
As far as i met Mr X at beshare, he isn't even advanced user - he was frequently confused with most primitive things in computer use.Not to say about programming.
Aslo he promotes JAVA speed in his "build". Heh.
But maybe I'm wrong

also, IMHO, bezilla.org should centralized the releases from the team (CVS one for beta test, stable one for every day uses).

OSNews
It seems like the Quickfox build is mentioned on OSNews. I did feel the urge to <a href="comment on the item though, especially since in the description of his build, there's the line <i>'My very much halfdone rewritten NSPR. (Netscape Portable Runtime).Should be as good or better as the old one though'</i>, which sounds a lot like your code, tqh (especially since quickfox only runs on BONE). I just noticed you posted as well :-)September 19 2005, 22:04:14 UTC 6 years ago
Re: OSNews
Yes, the Mr X did seem quite happy to cite all the changes we've been working to develop and commit to CVS. I was a bit bothered by that when I read the Quickfox writeup on Bebits. That's why I started this thread - I didn't know whether or not my concerns were valid.September 20 2005, 05:17:38 UTC 6 years ago
Re: OSNews
Well, I don't think we should worry to much. I know he is using tqh's work as his own, but I don't think it's worth starting a ruckus over this. We'll release our own Firefox 1.5, try to support it and have a nice time.September 20 2005, 14:50:54 UTC 6 years ago
Re: OSNews
Agreed.
